Geneva Girls Cross Country Finishes 8th in State

Geneva's girls cross country team finished eighth in the state of Illinois Class 3A meet Saturday at Detweiller Park in Peoria.

Glenbard West finished first, followed by Naperville North, New Trier, Palatine, Lockport, Minooka, Schaumburg and Geneva. With 266 total points, the Vikings comfortably beat ninth-place Downers Grove South and 10th-place Neuqua Valley, both of which tallied 277 points.

• Kathryn Adelman finished 38th in the state of Illinois, with a time of 17:54.

• Brooke Nussar was 47th, with a time of 18:02.

• Emma McSpadden was 60th, with a time of 18:10.

• Mckenzie Altmayer was 96th, with a time of 18:27.

• Gabrielle Thomson was 109th, with a time of 18:38.

• Sydney Geils was 148th, with a time of 19:03.

• Freshman Emma Ehrhardt was 149th, with a time of 19:03.
