Geneva Girls Volleyball Team Beats Batavia in Two Sets
Vikings move to 2-0 in Upstate Eight Conference play.

The Vikings go 2-0 in conference as they dominate over the Bulldogs in a two-game sweep.
In game one, Geneva had a rough start, as Batavia led 5-1. The Vikings, however, turned up the heat and got the momentum as the offense was placing the ball where Batavia players were not. Hannah Buck led the team with 5 kills and Taylor Marmitt followed with 4 kills.
The Vikings defense is what kept them alive against the Bulldogs and this helped Geneva take control over the match. Kelly Dalheim stayed strong with a total of 6 digs and 4 aces. Marmitt did what she could to help the defense out, adding 4 solid blocks against Batavia, and Renner Burns followed with a total of 3 blocks.
