Geneva High All-State Music Fest Reps Recognized

The Geneva High School students were recently recognized at a District 304 school board meeting.

From Geneva Schools: The Board recognized the contributions of Geneva High School students who exemplify the Tradition of Excellence Award, including: Illinois Music Educators Association (ILMEA) All-State Music Festival Representatives:

  • Alex Cordogan – All-State Composition
  • Emily Horton – Participated in the ILMEA Future Music Educators SeminarMary Kassel – All State OrchestraBrady Owen – All State Choir
  • Ariela Policastro – Honors All State ChoirAnne Stoner – All-State Composition

Katie Ellis, Lucy Smith and Claudia Wilkie will be recognized for running a booth at the ILMEA exposition center, promoting the development of TRI-M in schools across the state.The GHS Varsity Dance Team State Qualifiers will be recognized at the next Board of Education meeting.These students were chosen to represent Geneva High School at the ILMEA – Illinois Music Educators Association All-State Conference & Festival held in Peoria, Illinois January 25-27, 2018. The GHS Music Directors are Roxanne Curtis, Pat Frederick, Julie Lawrence and Neil Shipton.
