Geneva High School Post Prom event - A GHS tradition for over 30 years!

Did you know that the Post Prom event has been a GHS tradition for over 30 years? All Junior and Senior students are encouraged to attend the event, even if they choose to pass on Prom itself. It is an evening of fun, food and prizes in a safe and friendly environment. Last year, 700 of our students attended the event and the hope is to have an even larger number attending this year. Post Prom will be held on Saturday, May 13th. Doors open at 10:45 pm and the fun continues until 2:30am!

By encouraging our students to attend Post Prom we can ensure they are in a safe situation, making good choices. During the evening, the students have many choices to keep themselves entertained. They can burn off some energy in the gym on the inflatables, jump onto the Velcro wall or take a ride on a mechanical bull. Some choose to spend the evening in the “casino” playing blackjack, poker or bingo. Many stop by to have their caricature drawn by our very own Mr. Ochsner, art instructor at GHS. Of course, there is plenty of food! From pizza to subs to dessert, the students are well fed and entertained until the wee hours of the morning. The main event of the evening though is the prize drawings. In previous years, through the generous donations of GHS families and the community, Post Prom has been able to offer great prizes such as iPads, laptops, Xbox, mini refrigerators, TVs, many local restaurant gift cards, Kane County Cougar tickets, manicures, jewelry, Lollapalooza and Country Mega tickets, golf passes and so much more!

In order to make the evening a success, donations of all kinds are needed. Please consider a donation of a monetary gift, a gift card, tickets to events or merchandise to help support the many facets of the evening.
