Geneva Hospital Earns 'A' Grade In New Hospital Safety Ranking

The ranking grades general hospitals in the U.S. based on their ability to protect patients from medical errors, accidents and more.

GENEVA, IL — A new hospital safety report released Wednesday shows Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital received an "A" grade for its ability to protect patients from often preventable harm.

The Geneva hospital was among the 31 hospitals that received top remarks in the Leapfrog Group’s Spring 2026 Hospital Safety Grades. Delnor Hospital is considered a "Straight A" hospital for its results in five or more consecutive grading rounds.

The safety grades are biannual rankings that assign "A," "B," "C," "D" or "F" letter grades to all general hospitals in the United States based on their ability to protect patients from medical errors, accidents, injuries and infections.
