Geneva Police Participate In Randall Road Traffic Enforcement Initiative

The traffic safety campaign resulted in more than 500 vehicle stops.

Geneva Police joined an Elgin Police Department-sponsored initiative to increase traffic enforcement along Randall Road late this summer. State, county and local law enforcement agencies worked together during the last week of August and the first week of September to prioritize Randall Road traffic safety from Algonquin to Geneva.

The high-visibility, joint enforcement effort materialized from citizen complaints and traffic data indicating an increase in dangerous driving behaviors, including speeding, cell phone usage and disobeying red lights.
