Geneva School Board Approves $105 Million Budget

The 2017-18 fiscal year budget was approved during a Monday meeting.

GENEVA, IL – The Geneva District 304 School Board met this past week to vote on its annual budget. In an unanimous vote, the board approved the 105.1 million budget for the 2017-18 fiscal year, according to the Daily Herald.

The Daily Herald reports:

(The budget) includes spending $21.8 million to repay money it borrowed. The largest expenditure, at $44.6 million, is for salaries for employees covered by the education fund, followed by $6.9 million for benefits for those employees.
The district intends to spend $11.9 million on operations and maintenance and $5.6 million for transportation.
