The Board of Education recognized Geneva School District's two nominees for the 41st Annual Kane County Educator of the Year Awards.

Barbara Freeman, an acceleration and enrichment teacher at Western Avenue School, was nominated for and won the Elementary Teacher of the Year Award. Kate Hertz, a language arts teacher at Geneva High School, was nominated for High School Teacher of the year.
