Geneva School District Proposes Tax Levy Increase

The school board will vote on the levy at a Dec. 8 meeting.

The Geneva School District 304 Board approved a resolution on Monday for a 2014 levy of $83.7 million, which is 4.4 percent more than was received in spring of 2014 , according to the Daily Herald.

That means that if the levy is approved as is on Dec. 8, the owner of a $315,000 home would pay about $191 more in property taxes to the school district, the newspaper reports.
