Geneva Shop Among the Best Spots for Hot Chocolate in Chicago Area: Chicago Tribune

The Chicago Tribune recently ranked All Chocolate Kitchen as one of the best places to get hot chocolate.

Geneva’s All Chocolate Kitchen serves up a delicious mug of hot chocolate that is sure to keep you warm during the winter months. Reporters with the Chicago Tribune tested hot chocolate at bars, restaurants and cafes in the city -- and ventured out to the far western suburbs to taste test the hot chocolate at All Chocolate Kitchen as well, ranking it among its twelve best hot chocolates. All Chocolate Kitchen was the only business outside Chicago to make the Tribune’s list of the best hot chocolates.

The Chicago Tribune writes:

With a name like All Chocolate Kitchen, you'd expect this far west-suburban shop to pour a great hot chocolate. You would be correct. Using the same criollo cocoa beans that go into his truffles and at least one gelato, chef/owner Alain Roby (he of the awe-inspiring, Guinness-record-holding chocolate and sugar sculptures) creates a Grand Cru hot chocolate of impenetrable darkness and uncommonly deep flavor — so rich, I consider the optional whipped cream mandatory. "When I started, I worried it would be too rich," Roby said, "but it's working very well.’"

You can get a cup of hot chocolate for $4 at All Chocolate Kitchen, which is located at 33 S. Third Street in Geneva.
