Geneva Singer Breaks Streak as Finalist, Wins Suburban Chicago's Got Talent

The 2015 graduate of Geneva High School won this past weekend's Suburban Chicago's Got Talent competition.

After she was named a finalist over the past four years, Geneva singer San Star Sandberg finally came home victorious following this past weekend’s Suburban Chicago’s Got Talent competition, according to the Daily Herald. Sandberg is a 2015 graduate of Geneva High School.

“I tried out four years for this and to finally win is such an honor,” Sandberg said during a Sunday morning interview on ABC 7 Chicago. “I’m just so excited.”


The Daily Herald puts on the annual contest and the finalists performed during a free concert at the Taste of Arlington Heights in Harmony Park on Saturday. The winner receives a $5,000 “STARter kit,” which includes the chance to open for a headliner at the Arcada in St. Charles and to perform at Schaumburg’s Septemberfest as well as career mentoring by Onesti Entertainment and professional videos and photos of the performer, according to the Daily Herald. .
