Geneva's Christmas Tree Collection Schedule Announced

Geneva residents will have the opportunity to dispose of their live Christmas trees for free the first two weeks of January.

Trees will be picked up on residents’ normal garbage collection day the weeks of Jan. 5 and Jan. 12 by Advanced Disposal, the City’s waste hauler. People must place their live tree at the curb no later than 7 a.m. on their scheduled collection day.

No refuse stickers will be required for this service.

Ornaments, hooks, nails, tinsel, garland, tree stands and other hard materials should be removed from the trees prior to disposal. Trees placed in bags at the curb will not be accepted.

All wreaths and roping must be discarded with the regular trash.
