Good Templar Park Offers Cottage, Viking Ship Tours
Visit the charming world of Swedish stugas (cottages) and viking ship at Good Templar Park, June 22 and June 23.
GENEVA, IL -- Step back in time for a guided tour of quaint cottages and visit the replica viking ship that crossed the Atlantic and Great Lakes to the 1893 World’s Columbian Exposition in Chicago. Good Templar Park will be open this weekend during Geneva’s Swedish Days for visitors on from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 22 and June 23. Enter at 628 East Side Drive.

Good Templar members and cottage owners will lead small groups on tours of select Swedish stugas or cottages, many built during the late 1920s and 1930s. Stroll the lovely grounds of this peaceful park, learn more about its fascinating history and pick up Swedish baked goods. Tours are $10 per person.

Friends of the Viking Ship will also be offering tours of the magnificent viking ship that caused a sensation when it sailed into the World’s Columbian Exposition in 1893. Tours are $5.
