Guidelines say everyone should get screened for Colon Cancer at age of 50 yrs.,Katie says everyone should get screened at 40 years.Who is right? You tell me what is your life worth,then I can tell you who is right?

What happens if you get colon cancer at 40 and die at 45 yr.age,who would you hold liable?

That’s what happened to Katie Couric who lost her husband at 42 yr.age from Colon Cancer. So she recommends screening at age of 40 yr. She has data to back it up for all of us.

1) 19% Colon Cancer are found for people under 54.

2) 25% of people at the age of 50 have POLYPS in COLON. Polyps are the source of cancer.

3) If you look at data,polyps develop before the age of 40--that is why there are many who die at the age of 26.Some have family history,but there are many who have no family history of colon cancer at young age.

4) How about Symptoms? Well some have no symptoms--and they have Colon Cancer under 40. Dr.Oz had no family history,no symptoms,bowel movement was normal,he ate healthy foods,exercised regularly and if you have seen his TV Show-Dr.OZ--you will notice that he is not overweight or obese. So he went for Colonoscopy with TV film crew to show how easy it is to get Colonoscopy.However his Gastroenterologist to everyone’s surprise found that Dr.OZ had precancerous Polyp,which was removed. If it had not been removed,you may not be seeing his TV show today.

5) People behind guidelines: They assume how much is your life worth,current cost of getting Colonoscopy and then probability of getting colon cancer by age.

Now Katie Couric thinks life is worth more--so she comes up with 40 yrs.as proper age for Colon Screening.

Afro American group looked at data for Colon Cancer for their people and found 45 yr. age to be more appropriate for them.

What if cost of Colonoscopy were reduced by 40-70%,then screening at 40 yr.becomes COST EFFECTIVE for ALL.

Doctors who truly care for their patients like their family--prefer 40 yr.for screening.

Suppose you are 45 and you find out that you have stage 4 colon cancer ,what will you say to your doctor who did not do your screening at 40yr.age.

Many spend lots of money on makeup,drinks etc.How about ensuring that you don‘t have POLYPS in Colon?

You can replace drain pipe,but how about your cancer pain sufferings?
