IDOT To Seal Cracks On Route 38 Into Geneva

The Illinois Department of Transportation will be sealing cracks on Route 38, from Route 47 in Elburn to Route 31 in Geneva.

GENEVA, IL — Route 38 into Geneva will soon be under construction for crack sealing, officials said.

The Illinois Department of Transportation will be sealing cracks on Route 38, from Route 47 in Elburn to Route 31 in Geneva. The project is expected to last five days, with road work beginning at Route 47 Sept. 12 and moving eastward throughout the week.

Crews are scheduled to arrive in Geneva on the final day, Sept. 16, if weather permits, city officials said.

When construction begins on West State Street in Geneva, city officials said drivers should expect a moving work zone that will require one or two lanes of traffic to close for repairs and restriping.
