Healthcare

Dear Editor;

We have been explaining the healthcare debate as a political debate. I thought so too, until I saw the real reasons behind the “repeal and replace” go to “repeal and hope congress gets its act together in 2 years.”

It is no longer a “political” debate! It is now a debate between “good and evil.”

Polls show that a majority of Americans want to keep and fix the ACA. The Senate leader, however, will not hear of it and has blocked the minority party from helping. Have you wondered why? This is a hateful act. The people and governor in his state want to keep the ACA (Obamacare). What would drive someone to want to repeal something that has given so many people in his state and other states a new lease on life, the ability to start a new business without worry of healthcare, and protect the infirm, disabled, and elderly?

This Senate leader was one of the senators behind closed doors as soon as Obama got elected, planning and plotting ways to ruin and end his presidency. What would cause someone to do that? He and many of his party have taken the stand that only the rich should be able to get healthcare. Healthcare has ruined the economic lives of many Americans. The costs are frightening, and it is not because of “failing Obamacare.” They continue to lie about that (http://www.kff.org/health-reform/). No, it is a problem because the leader will not lead and regulate the spiraling premiums, costs of procedures, and pharmaceuticals. It is Lobby money in their campaign funds that keep us sick and poor.

This is not politics! Taking the lives from our citizens and giving tax breaks to the rich is not just cruel, it is an act of a calloused devil.

Sincerely
