Award-winning jeweler joins 25 others—90 exhibitors in all—at Brooklyn Museum's landmark Beaux-Arts Court in time for holiday shopping
Aleksandra Vali, Geneva, Il. joins 25 other jewelers--90 artisans and artists in all--at the fourth American Fine Craft Show at Brooklyn Museum November 19-20. The jewelry at the show features spirited, passionate colors and much of the work is influenced by travel, historic references, nature and careers in far-flung industries.
The show is produced and curated by An American Craftsman Galleries that has supported crafts artists since 1982, longer than any other gallery in New York City, representing the work of over 500 from across the country.
On her website the award-winning jeweler wrote that her work has “a well-defined signature that carries through all her wearable sculptures. She has over 15 years of professional art and teaching experience.

She wrote: “Her aesthetic philosophy is anchored in real feelings and raw emotion expressed through dynamic forms, carved into metal. She reconstructs metal surfaces, experiments with contrasts and shifts balance points, to achieve a sense of movement in her compositions.
Her design interests are global and reflect cultural diversity. “In addition to jewelry creation, Aleksandra is an accomplished ceramics artist and sculptor. She channeled her skills of working with clay into jewelry through carving, casting and smithing. Intrigued by the complexity of edges, textures and mixed materials, she works with gold and silver to explore the three-dimensional forms and adds accents with pearls and lava, silk and coral, diamonds and raw stones.
