FVJS has classes for children in pre-K (age 3) through 8th grade, with an optional bar/bat mitzvah preparation program. Children with all ranges of Jewish education and backgrounds, including those from interfaith families are welcome to attend. FVJN's religious school provides a general Jewish education and does not adhere to any one particular branch of Judaism.
Fox Valley Jewish School (FVJS) is run by Fox Valley Jewish Neighbors (FVJN), an independent community group of Jewish and interfaith families who come together for religious, social, educational and community service activities in the Tri-Cities and surrounding towns. The school was founded 10 years ago to meet the need for a progressive Jewish education for children living in the area. Its goal to encourage a positive Jewish identity in each student by providing an education that focuses on the American Jewish experience, ethics, Jewish holidays and observances, community service and care of the environment. Children also get an introduction to Hebrew and incorporate Torah study into their lessons. Art and music are included throughout the year. Students also participate in a Mitzvah Project (community service) which includes special projects and a field trip.
