Kane Co. Sheriff Did Not Violate Ethics Ordinance: Ethics Adviser
The complaint was filled in connection with Donald Kramer's campaign activities.

KANE COUNTY, IL – Former judge Grant Wegner, the Kane County ethics adviser, found Kane Co. Sheriff Donald Kramer did not violate the county's ethics ordinance when he wore his uniform shirt and used a county-issued police car during Republican meetings leading up to last week's primary election, the Northwest Herald reports. Jon Zahm, a political consultant to the campaign for Kevin Tindall, who lost to Kramer in the Republican primary, filed the ethics complaint. In his decision, Wegner said that as sheriff, Kramer is required to always be on duty and that his squad car was not used "in connection with political activity."
Wegner said he did not think Kramer's uniform was property of the county, according to the Northwest Herald.
