Kane County Chronicle to Change to Weekly Publication
The weekly Chronicle in St. Charles, Geneva and Batavia will debut on April 14.
The Kane County Chronicle, which currently publishes five newspapers a week, will convert to three separate weekly publications, which will be mailed to subscribers in St. Charles, Batavia and Geneva starting in April, the newspaper company announced Wednesday.
The Chronicle for St. Charles, Batavia and Geneva will debut on April 14 and will be mailed out every Thursday, J. Tom Shaw wrote in a letter to readers. Shaw also announced Shaw Media has bought the Elburn Herald and the Sugar Grove Herald.
"We have determined that the combination of a great weekly printed newspaper and a comprehensive local website is the best option for now and the future," Shaw wrote in the letter to readers posted Wednesday on the Kane County Chronicle website.
