This month, Prairie Farmer announced its 2014 selections for the prestigious Master Farmer award. Among the four Illinois farmers recognized was Kane County’s own Mike Kenyon, of South Elgin. Mr. Kenyon grows corn, soybeans, wheat and alfalfa on 1,600 acres and operates a 55-head dairy, in addition to serving on the Kane County and Kane County Farm Bureau Boards.
