Letter Referencing 'Humane Destruction of Animal' Upsets Dog Owners in Geneva Neighborhood: Police
The neighbors think a woman who has yelled at dog walkers and told pets to "shut up" is responsible, according to media reports.

Residents in one Geneva neighborhood are upset after receiving a letter they believe was sent by a woman who yells at dog walkers in the area and tells their pets to “shut up,” according to a Kane County Chronicle article.
A dog owner in the 0S300 block of Grengs Lane reported the letter, which contained a copy of the Kane County Animal Control ordinance, to the Kane County Sheriff’s Office on Dec. 10.
The resident was ”very disturbed” by one part of the document that was highlighted: “ordering the humane destruction of said animal,“ the newspaper reports.

The letter did not come from the sheriff’s office or from animal control and police did make contact with a woman, who residents in the neighborhood said yelled at dog walkers, and she told police she also received the letter, according to the Kane County Chronicle.
The woman went on to tell police that she agreed with the letter and said she thought dogs in the neighborhood bark too much, according to the article.
