Little Traveler Changes Name to 'Big Traveler'
"Because after 91 years, we're tired of everyone calling us 'little,' " co-owner Mike Simon says.
Mike Simon, co-owner of The Little Traveler in downtown Geneva, announced this morning that the name of the 91-year-old store will be changing beginning this week to better reflect the true nature of the store.
Though its ownership, merchandise, and staff will be the same, its name will now be “The Big Traveler.”
“We decided that, after all these years, it would be a good idea to have the name of the store more accurately reflect what our store is,” said Simon, “There’s not much that’s little about us anymore.”

"The only change that will be evident to the public, besides the name change itself, will be a modest redesign of the store’s logo," Simon says “The cherub (the little boy) on our logo has been redesigned slightly. Although it’s apparent he’s still the same cute guy, he’s now grown up and filled out a bit.”
Simon wants to stress that this change will not affect the way the store operates and all the merchandise and staff will remain the same.
