Local Farmers Markets Open for Summer Season
The St. Charles and Batavia farmers markets will open this weekend.

It’s that time of year, again.
Local farmers markets have, or will be, opening soon for the summer season.
Here is a look at the local offerings:

St. Charles Farmers Market
When: Every Friday from June through October. Hours are 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. First farmers market will be held on June 5.
Where: Baker Memorial Church, Fourth Avenue and Main Street

What: Fresh Kane County produce, fruit, cheese, eggs, beef and goat meat, poultry products, bountiful fruit and flowers from Michigan Orchards as well as fresh flowers, garden plants, honey, produce and foodstuffs from Illinois growers

Batavia Farmers Market
When: Every Saturday from June 6 through Oct. 17. Hours are 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
Where: North River Street between Wilson and State streets
What: Fresh vegetables, fruit, eggs, meat, cheese, herbs, flowers, music and more.

Geneva French Market
When: Open on Sundays from April 26 through Nov. 1. Hours are 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Where: Located in the Fourth Street Metro parking lot on the northwest corner of South and Fourth streets
What: Organic food, vegetables, local specialties, fruits and crafts.
