Long Delays Expected On Fabyan As Patching Starts Next Week

Transportation officials are expected to patch Fabyan Parkway between Bent Tree Drive and Western Avenue in Geneva the week of Aug. 20.

The Kane County Division of Transportation is scheduled to patch Fabyan Parkway between Bent Tree Drive and Western Avenue in Geneva the week of Aug. 20. This work will occur using temporary daily lane closures and flaggers directing traffic between the hours of 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, according to a news release. The roadwork will consist of milling and resurfacing approximately 500 feet of both outside lanes of Fabyan Parkway for the eastbound and westbound directions.

The work is anticipated to take about one week to complete, weather permitting. Fabyan Parkway will remain open during construction. Motorists should expect very long delays while traveling through the work areas and should add additional time to their commutes.

Motorists are asked to reduce their speed, watch for construction workers and vehicles entering or leaving the site, obey flaggers and comply with traffic control devices within the work zone.
