Marklund Welcomes New Administrator to Geneva

Rachelle Jewison recently joined Marklund as its new Administrator of the Marklund Hyde Center and Community Based Services, overseeing all

May 21, 2015 (Geneva, IL) Rachelle Jewison recently joined Marklund as its new Administrator of the Marklund Hyde Center and Community Based Services, overseeing all client services provided to those with profound developmental disabilities at its Geneva residential and developmental training facility.

As a licensed nursing home administrator, Jewison brings to Marklund many years’ experience in the developmental disabilities field, most recently serving as the Area Director for Bethesda Lutheran Communities in Plainfield, IL. She also held the position of Administrator of Group Homes for the developmentally disabled community in Rockford, as well as a Behavioral Analyst for Minnesota State Operated Community Services.

“I am very excited about the leadership that Rachelle is going to bring to Marklund,” said Gil Fonger, President and CEO. “Not only does she bring a terrific professional background that will be a great fit for the person-centered Marklund culture, she has terrific ideas for how to help Marklund reach our ambitious goals to expand our programs and services in Geneva and the surrounding communities.”

Jewison has a degree in Public Health Administration from Northern Illinois University, and resides with her family in Sycamore.

“I came to Marklund because of the culture,” she said. “The environment here is so warm and welcoming. It was evident on my first tour at MHC, that the people we support are happy, and well cared for. Marklund employees put our clients first- and in the end, everything else just falls into place.”

Marklund is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization that annually serves nearly 200 families throughout the greater Chicagoland area.
