Freedom Ride Available Saturday 9/17/16...
Our Tennessee shelter partner is making a special transport to northern Illinois to help free up some kennels so they can minimize the number of dogs that will be euthanized this week.
This mom "Disney" and her puppies have a chance to get out of the shelter THIS Saturday 9/17!
Disney is a hound mix that found herself pregnant in Tennessee. Unfortunately this happens often in that state, when a female dog gets pregnant and can no longer hunt, or a family just has too many dogs, they either turn them loose or take them to the shelter. Fortunately for this mom, this shelter tries very hard to find rescue for the dogs that come through their doors.

She gave birth to 8...Yes EIGHT, beautiful puppies! The shelter is no place to raise puppies! We have the ability to bring them to Illinois this Saturday, but we need committed foster homes.
Disney can be fostered on her own, and the litter can be split into groups of 2 or 4. Just look at these adorable babies!...Puppy breath, wiggle butts, sewwt kisses...Come on, you know you want to save some puppies!

All of our foster homes are given first chance to adopt the dog they foster. It's a nice way to see if the dog fits in with your family/lifestyle.
