Imagine the following scenario: Your 16 year old daughter gets asked to prom and, as mom, you are excited for her and can’t wait to help her pick out a dress! But her father doesn’t like proms much and likes teenage boys even less. In fact, he doesn’t want her to date until she’s about 30! What do you do? How do you decide? How do parents manage to guide their adolescent children when they sometimes see things very differently? Join us as Pastor Brian and Lorene Coffey present Same Page Parenting: Finding Common Ground When You Disagree. Brian and Lorene will share insights from their experience of parenting their four sons, as well as ministry to families for over nearly 30 years. Brian is Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church of Geneva (FBCG) where he has served for 29 years. He is the author of four books and has contributed to two study bibles. Lorene is the Director of Women’s Ministries at FBCG and has developed various ministries at the church including Moms Together in 1985, which she coordinated for five years. The Coffeys have been married for 30 years and have four sons ages 25,23,20,18.
