Mosquito Spraying Delayed In Geneva
The citywide spraying will be rescheduled for Tuesday evening into Wednesday.

GENEVA, IL --Mosquito spraying originally scheduled for Aug. 13 in Geneva has been pushed back one day to Tuesday, Aug. 14, according to the city’s contractor. Spraying citywide will now take place from dusk to dawn Aug. 14 to Wednesday, Aug. 15 to help control the adult mosquito population. Clarke will be using a synthetic treatment that is safe for humans and pets, although people with asthma and other respiratory conditions are advised to stay indoors with their windows closed during the misting application and one hour afterward, according to a city news release.
The spraying will be rescheduled if rain or high winds enter the forecast. Updates will be posted on the city’s website. For tips on how to prevent West Nile or any other mosquito-borne illness, visit the Kane County Health Department’s website at www.kanehealth.com.
