GENEVA, IL — A city-wide mosquito control application is scheduled to take place Wednesday to reduce the adult insect population in Geneva.
Clarke, the city's contractor, will be spraying from dusk to dawn starting Wednesday and into Thursday, city officials said.
Although the synthetic treatment is safe for humans and pets, officials recommend people with asthma and other respiratory conditions stay indoors during application and one hour afterward.

Residents with mosquito or standing water issues can report the problems directly to Clarke using the company's online portal. To stay informed about scheduled sprayings, community members can also subscribe to receive notifications.
