Musical Entertainment Announced for Swedish Days

Find out who will be performing at this year's festival in Geneva.

GENEVA, IL - The Geneva Chamber of Commerce has announced the musical lineup for this summer's Swedish Days. Here is a look at who will be performing:

TUESDAY, JUNE 20

Austin Chione, 1 to 3 p.m. on the courthouse lawn

Austin Chione has been playing the guitar since the second grade and writing his own music since the age of 9. His greatest influences include the Smashing Pumpkins, Green Day, and Pearl Jam. He loves to share his creativity and passion for music to a live audience.

Boy Band Night, 8 p.m., central stage

A Live Band Event paying homage to everything that is BOY BANDS! Covering N’Sync, Backstreet Boys, New Kids, Boyz 2 Men, One Direction and more.

WEDNESDAY, JUNE 21

Dennis O'Brien, 1 to 3 p.m., courthouse lawn

A solid vocalist and acoustic guitar player, well-versed in multiple musical genres that include Rock, Blues and Folk. Dennis O’Brien creates a friendly and warm rapport with his audiences.

Swedish American Children’s Choir, 5:30 pm, Central Stage

With over 200 performances, in 16 years, the choir has gained a reputation for performance excellence. Singers ranging in age from 4-18 travel throughout the Chicagoland area and have quickly sparked interest in the Swedish heritage and become repeat performers for numerous organizations, festivals and conventions.

Geneva’s Got Talent Semi-Finals, 6:30 pm - Central Stage

The Geneva Park District is proud to join efforts with the Geneva Chamber of Commerce to produce a competition to showcase the area’s talent. Come and cheer on the individuals competing for a chance to perform at the Saturday, June 24 finals and a $1,000 cash prize.

Rosie & The Rivets, 8:00 pm - Central Stage

Performing the best music of the 1950's and 1960's! You'll hear your favorite rock n roll, girl group, rockabilly, British invasion, surf, and soul authentically and expertly performed with impressive showmanship. Not your typical bunch of 'oldies playing oldies', the band is comprised of energetic professional musicians with excellent vocal and musical ability. Much research went into their stage show; period correct clothes along with vintage guitars, drums, and even microphones assure you'll be in for a truly authentic retro experience both visually and musically.

Thursday, June 22

The Reserve, 1 to 3 p.m. - Courthouse Lawn

The Reserve is an acoustic duo comprised of good friends Lindsey O'Brien and Adam Schultz. They bring an amazing charm and energy to their performances that is guaranteed to make you feel good!

1976, 8 p.m. - Central Stage

Featuring male & female vocals, two outstanding guitarists and a blistering rhythm section, these six outstanding musicians authentically recreate all your favorites by bands & musicians from that era. Let 1976 take you back to the decade that changed rock music forever.

Friday, June 23

South Shore Drill Team, 6:30 p.m. - Central Stage

You’ve seen them in the parade, now see them on stage. In addition to their unique marching style, the South Shore Drill Team has a wide repertoire of dance, including classical and contemporary music, gospel, hip hop, jazz, and modern dance. Experience their energy Friday night.

The Breakfast Club, 8 p.m. - central stage

The Breakfast Club is a high energy rock/dance 80′s tribute band, whose every song is a hit that brings the house down with spontaneous, exuberant ‘I know this song!’ singalongs. Moonwalk down memory lane with The Breakfast Club as they spin you right round to all the radical sounds, styles, and way cool dance steps from the 1980′s In over-the-top retro 80′s attire.

Saturday, June 24

The Thompson Duo, 1 to 3 p.m. – Courthouse Lawn –

A musical journey from the 50's through today.

Geneva’s Got Talent Finals, 6:30 p.m. - Central Stage

Cheer on your favorite star and enjoy watching the finalists chosen from Wednesday night’s competition compete for First Place and a $1,000 cash prize

Generation…”The Sixties Experience," 8 p.m. - Central Stage

Having appeared throughout the United States, The Four C Notes are quickly becoming the country's premier Frankie Valli tribute and they're not to be missed! Four guys, smart choreography, and headliner John Michael Coppola’s performances with Jersey Boys musical, give The Four C Notes an authenticity to their performance that similar tribute groups simply cannot match…ANYWHERE!
