New District 200 Superintendent Invites Community to Welcome Reception

The welcome reception will be held on Sept. 10.

Submitted by Community Unit School District 200

Greetings District 200 Family,

Yesterday was my first day in District 200. Walking in the doors on my first day I was filled with a combination of nervousness and excitement. Like most students and teachers feel on the first day of school, I was looking forward to the new year, a new beginning.

When I accepted this position in July, I knew that I was coming to an excellent school district that is highly regarded for high-achieving students, an excellent staff and a supportive community. What I have experienced in the last two days has far exceeded my expectations.

In my first month, I plan to visit all twenty of our schools and I look forward to getting to know each one of you. Until then, I invite you to come meet me and my family at a Welcome Reception hosted by our Board of Education on Wednesday, September 10th at 6:00 p.m. at Bower Elementary. You can also read more about my background on the Superintendent’s page of the District website.

It is evident to me that this community greatly values education and I know that as Superintendent, I have a great deal of responsibility in upholding that value. I will make sure that students in District 200 receive the same quality education that I expect my children, Lucas and Ella, to receive. Thank you for the opportunity to lead this incredible school district.

I hope to meet you on September 10th or in the near future.

Dr. Jeff Schuler
Superintendent of Schools
