New Grocery Store to Move Into Former Dominick's in Geneva
Developers are looking to split the building with Fresh Thyme occupying half of that space.

GENEVA, IL - Organic grocery store chain Fresh Thyme and a national tenant, which has yet to be named publicly, will likely be moving into the former Dominick's building along Randall Road in Geneva. Alderman on Monday voted in favor of splitting the building at 2000 S. Randall Road into two spaces, the Kane County Chronicle reports. Fresh Thyme has signed a lease to occupy a portion of the building and Craig Whitehead of the Crown Group--the development company for the owner of the building--said negotiations are being finalized for the other tenant, which would take up the remaining 40,000-square-feet of the space.
“It’s a national tenant. You’ll recognize their name and be happy to have them," Whitehead said during Monday's meeting.
Alderman during the meeting also approved modifications to signage and landscaping, the realignment of parking lot islands and the addition of parking spaces to 483 from 450, according to the newspaper.
