New Principal Hired To Helm Mill Creek Elementary School
The Plainfield resident will take over the position after serving as principal of an elementary school in Westmont.

GENEVA, IL — The Geneva Community Unit School District 304 Board of Education approved a new principal to helm Mill Creek Elementary School.
Tim Wyller will start his new role July 1. He replaces outgoing Principal George Petmezas, who was promoted to the district's director of learning and teaching, officials said Tuesday.
Wyller joins the Geneva district from Westmont Community Unit School District 201, where he served as principal of Miller Elementary School. Prior to that, he worked as an assistant principal at Ridge Elementary School in Plainfield.

His experience also includes working as an assistant principal at Jane Addams Middle School and dean of students at Brooks Middle School, both in Valley View School District 365U. He has also worked as a social studies teacher at both schools.
"My role as an educator is to try and bring out the best in everyone," he said in a statement. "I had some wonderful experiences and great mentors growing up and always found a calling to help make a positive impact in the school community."

Wyller received his bachelor's degree in health education from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He has a master's degree in educational leadership and an education specialist degree in educational leadership from Northern Illinois University.
"It is clear that the students, staff, and the community come together in the district to provide an extraordinary environment for growth, success, and celebrations," Wyller said. "I am most excited to learn from and support the Mill Creek Community in their educational journey as well as connect with the entire community about what makes them unique in a diverse world."
Wyller lives in Plainfield with his wife, who is also an educator, and four children.
