New Technology Service Fee Approved for District 304 Students
The Geneva District 304 School Board approved proposed fee for the 2016-17 school year during a meeting Monday.

The Geneva District 304 school board on Monday approved proposed fees for the 2016-17 school year, which includes a a new "technology service fee," according to the school district.
The technology service fee has been added to help offset the costs of providing students with "a technology-rich 21st century learning environment," school officials said. This fee will contribute to the growth, maintenance, and sustainability of technology systems and devices for the school district.
The service fee will cost an extra $20 for kindergarten and first-grade students, $30 for second-grade students, $40 for third- through fifth-grade students and $50 for students in sixth grade through senior year of high school.
