No. 5: How About Some Sa Tae and Thai Tea at Bangkok Restaurant?

OK, when we last left off with "10 under $10," we offered up some Gnocchi from Villa Verone. Our others so far are from Egg Harbor, Graham's Fine Chocolates and Table 38.

And now a slow boat to China.

No. 5: 

After all this filling fare (see previous 10 under $10), it's the perfect time of day for a caffeinated pick-me-up. You could go the traditional coffee route, or you could treat yourself to some Thai iced tea. The decadent drink is half tea, half sugar-infused cream, and all delicious. And since the tea is just $2, why not grab a snack?

Cheap Eat: An order of Sa Tae, a barbecue appetizer. Featuring tender marinated pork, skewered and charcoal broiled, served with peanut sauce and cucumber salad. $5.50.
