Ooh La La Chocolate Run Requires Downtown Geneva Street Closures: PD
Runners will take to the streets of downtown Geneva as part of the 8th annual Ooh La La half-marathon, 10K and 5K run.

GENEVA, IL — Sunday in Geneva is going to be a sweet one as the Ooh La La Chocolate Run is returning.
Featuring a half-marathon, 10K and 5K run, the event will draw runners and spectators to downtown Geneva. The race is privately operated and not sponsored by the city.
Although the event is just days away, registration is still open. Prices vary from $55 to $105 depending on the race.

Some roadways are required to close to make room for the run. Starting at 6 a.m., the following streets will close to traffic:
- Third Street from James to Franklin streets
- Campbell Street from River Lane to Sixth Street
- Franklin Street from Second to Sixth streets
- Second, Fifth and Sixth streets from Campbell to Franklin streets
- River Lane from Campbell to South streets
A traffic detour will be in place to direct drivers to use James, Seventh, Fulton and Third streets, Geneva police said.

Route 31, also known as South First Street, will remain open during the race, but traffic will be stopped periodically at the intersection of Campbell Street to allow runners to cross the state highway, according to police.
People driving through the downtown area should anticipate a large group to gather and participate in the Ooh La La Chocolate Run, police said. All streets are expected to reopen by 11:30 a.m. Sunday.
