Person Hit By Train In Geneva: Metra
All inbound and outbound trains on the Union Pacific West line were halted early Thursday.
GENEVA, IL — All inbound and outbound trains were halted during the morning rush hour after a person was struck by a Metra train in Geneva.
Metra posted an alert saying the trains were halted after a "trespasser" was struck by train #18, warning riders that "extensive delays" were expected.
A Metra spokesperson confirmed that a pedestrian was hit, according to NBC Chicago, but did not have any details on their condition.

As of just before 8 a.m., Metra notified riders, "UPW inbound and outbound trains have been cleared to make scheduled stops from Ogilvie Transportation Center through Elburn. Some trains may have operational changes, extensive delays, and operating out of sequence due to an earlier trespasser strike."
