Police Find Jars of Pot in Car After Man Crashes, Leaves Vehicle in Yard

Taylor Acosta is accused of crashing into a tree and then abandoning his car in a yard in Geneva, according to media reports.

A 24-year-old Elgin man faces drug and traffic charges after police said they found two large Mason jars of marijuana in his car after he crashed into a tree and then abandoned the vehicle in a yard in Geneva, the Kane County Chronicle reports.

Police said Taylor Acosta, of the 300 block of Monument Road in Elgin, left the scene of the accident on May 20 but police later found him at Starbucks, 1441 Randall Road, according to the article.
