Police Reports: Major DUI, Sprinkling of Accidents Throughout Geneva

Here's a roundup of DUI and accident reports collected Monday, Oct. 17, from Geneva police reports.
Major Traffic DUI—Geneva police arrested Nick Porter, 24, of Carbondale for DUI alcohol and failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident around 3:17 a.m. Oct. 1, in the 700 block of Union Street, reports said. Porter has a court date of 9 a.m. Nov. 2 at the Kane County Judicial Center, 37W777 Route 38, St. Charles.
Accident at West State and Anderson Boulevard—The front end of a Mini Cooper driven by Jodi Pelegrin, 47, of Geneva collided with the driver’s side of a Saturn SC driven by Franco Olvera, 20, of St. Charles around 2:40 p.m. Oct. 15 at the intersection of Anderson Boulevard and West State Street, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle. Pelegrin was issued a warning notice for failure to yield turning left.

Accident at Crissey Avenue—The front of a Chevrolet Venture driven by Kathie Cervantes, 48, of Montgomery collided with the rear of a Kia Sorento driven by Patricia Hettinger, 37, of Aurora around 5:47 p.m. Oct. 13 in the 1900 block of Crissey Avenue near East Fabyan Parkway, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle and a tow was necessary, reports said.
Accident on James Street—The rear of a Ford Aerostar driven by Jeff Forni, 53, of Sandwich collided with the front of a Buick Century driven by John Hill, 41, of Lombard around 2:30 p.m. Oct. 7 in the 600 block of Richards Street near Seventh Street, reports said. Between $501 and $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.

Accident on West State Street—The rear of an Audi A4 driven by Lauris Galley, 66, of Geneva collided with the rear of a Toyota Solaro driven by Brian Schumacher, 28, of Joliet around 10 p.m. Oct. 7 in the 0-99 block of West State Street near North River Lane, reports said. More than $1,500 damage was done to any one vehicle.
