Registration Open for Geneva's Super Shuffle 5K

The February race is held on Super Bowl Sunday.

GENEVA, IL -- Registration is now open for the Geneva Park District’s annual Super Shuffle 5K, which will be held on Super Bowl Sunday at Geneva Middle School South. On-site registration and check-in for racers runs from 9 to 9:45 a.m. on Feb. 3 and the race begins at 10 a.m., according to a news release from the Geneva Park District.

Immediately following the race, attendees can stop by the Stephen D. Persinger gym, at 3507 Kaneville Road in Geneva, from 10 a.m. to noon for the game day party where there will be games, refreshing beverages, game day food, and more, according to the news release.

Race participants will receive a participation medal and one free beverage ticket for use at the Game Day Party. Additional food and beverages will be available for purchase. Awards will be given to the overall top female and male finishers.

The Super Shuffle 5K benefits the Geneva Park District Scholarship Fund which provides recreational opportunities to the community.

The cost for those who register by Jan. 20 is $35 while day-of registrations is $39. You must register by Jan. 20 to ensure you receive your race sweatshirt at packet pick-up. Sweatshirts for late and day-of registrants will be available two weeks after the race.

The cost for just the race is $20, which does not include a hoodie or participant bag.

Pre-race packet pick-up will be held from 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on Feb. 1 and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Feb. 2 at the Stephen D. Persinger Recreation Center, 3507 Kaneville Road.
