An easter egg hunt, an egg-mazing race and a butterfly release party are among the fun events happening in the coming weeks in Geneva.

Pool Passes

Splish Splash, Save Some Cash – Early Bird Pool Passes are available now through April 30. Choose from a Sunset Pool Pass, a Mill Creek Pool Pass, or a GOLD Pass for access to both pools. Get yours at Sunset Community Center or Stephen Persinger Recreation Center. Sunset Pool Opens May 25 and will offer a new sprayground; Mill Creek Pool opens June 1. Join us for the Egg-mazing Race and Night Egg Hunt for teens ages 10-16 at Wheeler Park! Get your friends together and create teams of 4. Teams will complete various physical and mental challenges in order to solve clues and find the bunny hiding somewhere in the park. Be one of the first teams to finish, and you will win fabulous prizes — including gift certificates to local businesses!

After the Egg-mazing Race, participants will go head-to-head in an exciting night-time egg hunt! Eggs filled with prizes and candy will be scattered around the park. Collect as many eggs as you can before they are all gone!

Please note: Each team must have a cell phone with a QR Reader downloaded; QR codes will be used to navigate the race. Participants must also bring his/her own flashlight and a bag for collecting eggs. This event is held rain or shine, so please dress appropriately for the weather.

Don’t wait, pre-registration is recommended! Pre-registration: $5 residents ($8 N/R) On-site/day-of registration: $10 residents ($15 N/R). Register online at genevaparks.org.

Egg Hunt

FREE EVENT! Thousands of eggs will be scattered across the soccer fields at SPRC. There will be two designated egg hunt areas: one for children ages 4 & younger, and one for ages 5 & older. Don’t be late! The hunt begins promptly at 10 am, rain or shine. Please arrive early as parking is limited. Remember to dress appropriately for the weather.

Butterfly Release Party

4:00 – 6:00 pm (30-minute time-slots)

Peck Farm Park, 4038 Kaneville Road, Geneva, IL 60134

It’s butterfly time again at Peck Farm Park – and you can help! The first butterflies arrive on May 17 and they need your help to start the season in their new home. Participants will be able to release a butterfly in the butterfly house, make a butterfly craft, enjoy a butterfly snack, and take a self-guided butterfly hike.

Pre-registration is recommended. $10 per person. Space is limited so sign up early to reserve your place at the party. Each participant who wishes to release a butterfly and take part in other activities must register for a designated time-slot. Participants under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
