Route 25 Down To Single Lane In Geneva

GENEVA, IL — Route 25 in Geneva is down to one lane Wednesday as Public Works Departmen crews replace water service infrastructure.

Route 25, also known as Bennett Street, will be affected from Jefferson to Dodson streets on the city's east side. The work is expected to be completed Wednesday afternoon, officials said.

Officials are reminding drivers to use caution when driving through the work zone, where flaggers are directing traffic. To avoid the area, people can use Kirk Road or East Side Drive as alternate routes.
