Route 25 Reduced To One Lane: Geneva Officials

Contractors are lining a sanitary sewer Thursday, and city officials are asking drivers to use caution if they can't avoid the area.

GENEVA, IL — Sewer work has reduced Route 25, from Euclid Avenue to Jefferson Street, in Geneva down to one lane Thursday.

The closure is expected to last the duration of the business day, officials said.

While contractors line a sanitary sewer on the city's east side, city staff are asking drivers to avoid the area. If they can't, drivers should use caution when traveling through the work zone, where flaggers are helping direct traffic.
