Route 38 In Geneva To Undergo IDOT-Helmed Sealing Project
The majority of construction will involve a moving work zone, but drivers should expect periodic closures for the concrete patching.
GENEVA, IL — The Illinois Department of Transportation will begin a crack and joint sealing project Aug. 31 on Route 38 near Kautz Road in Geneva, city officials said.
Mosley Construction was contracted by IDOT to perform the work, which will include roadway patching, crack sealing, shoulder improvements and guardrail replacement.
The majority of construction will involve a moving work zone, officials said. Drivers should expect periodic two-to-three-day closures to make way for concrete patching.

The project will be completed in about a month, weather permitting, officials said.
