GENEVA, IL — A portion of both Sandholm Street and Sixth Street in Geneva will be closed for various projects Wednesday, officials said.

On the city's east side, Sandhold Street, from Route 38 to Spring Street, will be closed while Geneva Public Works Department crews repair sanitary service.

The road will remain closed while construction takes place in the middle of the block. Officials encourage drivers to use Kansas or Simpson streets as alternate routes.
