School Board Approves Loan for Mobile Classrooms at Geneva High School

The Geneva School District Board has approved a $650,000 loan to install the classrooms at Geneva High School.

GENEVA, IL - The Geneva Community Unit School District 304 board has decided to take out a loan and shell out over $33,000 in interest instead of using money from its working-cash fund to cover the costs of mobile classrooms at Geneva High School, the Daily Herald reports. The $650,000 loan from MB Financial Bank will cover the costs of a used six-classroom, two-restroom mobile unit as well as the delivery fee, installation, landscaping, and the possible addition of a canopy.

The plan is to install the mobile classroom on the blacktop of where a playground for the former Coultrap Elementary School used to be, according to the article. The city of Geneva and Kane County Regional Office of Education still need to approve the classrooms.
