Seniors celebrate aging

Windsor Park residents zip through the air as part of Active Aging Week

Age is just a number for Windsor Park residents Grace Bradley, 84, Carol DeVries, 87, and Cindy Sennese, 67. The trio zipped through the forest canopy at Go Ape Zip Line and Tree Top Adventure, Bemis Woods Park, Western Springs, Ill., as part of the senior living community’s Active Aging Week (AAW) celebration, Sept. 25-Oct. 1, 2016. AAW is led by the International Council on Active Aging to celebrate aging and active living by engaging older adults in wellness activities. This year’s theme is “Explore the Possibilities.” Pictured, left to right: Grace Bradley; Windsor Park Life Enrichment Coordinator Adrian Ursache; Carol DeVries; Cindy Sennese; and a Go Ape staff member.
