SKIN CANCER SCREENING

Clear Skin Dermatology will provide a complete skin exam for early detection of skin cancer. Registration required.

4-IN-1 BLOOD SCREENING

Keep track of your health with our convenient cholesterol, thyroid, prostate and diabetes screenings. Take one or all four at once. No appointment necessary. Payment is due at time of the test. Cash and checks only, please.

Lipid Profile | Fee: $25

HDL, LDL, triglycerides and cholesterol. Twelve-hour fast required. Please drink plenty of water.

Thyroid | Fee: $15

 Detect thyroid activity level with a simple blood test. No fasting required.

Prostate PSA | Fee: $10

(prostate-specific antigen) Simple blood test. No fasting required.

Diabetes | Fee: $10

This test is not for children under 15 or pregnant women. Eight-hour fast required. Please drink plenty of water.

COMMUNITY RESOURCES FOR SENIORS AND THOSE WHO CARE FOR THEM

We are lucky to live in a community that offers a wide range of services for senior citizens. They include programs and professionals that can help a senior age in place, as well as residential and care facilities.

Many folks are not sure how to shop for or access these services, and are unclear about payment options and eligibility requirements. Please join us for an overview of senior services and programs in the Greater Fox Valley.

We will provide information about programs including adult day care, dementia care, in-home care, assisted and supportive living, and skilled nursing care. Our speakers will provide guidelines for knowing when an individual is ready to move to the next l evel of care, and what to look for in a care provider. Each participant will be provided with a resource book. Refreshments will be served.  No registration required.

CARDIAC CALCIUM SCORING & CT CORONARY ANGIOGRAPHY

Dr. Sidney Jain will clarify the differences between Calcium Scoring, aka “Heart Scan,” and CT Coronary Angiography. The talk will also demonstrate visual examples of normal and abnormal cases, discuss what abnormal results mean for the patient, explain who may benefit from each of these exams and outline risks involved. Registration required.
