Silver Games Pit Senior Against Senior In Competitive Sporting Event

On September 26-30, almost 100 participants ages 62 and older, will be competing in 18 events.

Predictions are that GreenFields of Geneva’s third annual Silver Games will be a resounding success. On September 26-30, almost 100 participants ages 62 and older, will be competing in 18 events including free throw contest, home run derby, shot put contest, brain games and more.

Silver Games features friendly competition for seniors, and encourages exercise of both the body and the brain. The Silver Games, which are coordinated by GreenFields, are held in cooperation with the Geneva Park District. “We are excited to be offering the Third Annual Silver Games. The seniors look forward to the opportunity to let their competitive drive kick into gear in a variety of different events,” said Rebecca Sytsma, activities coordinator for GreenFields.

The Silver Games are developed for all ability, activity and interest levels.
